@ UTCoachJones says NCAA informs him that the # Vols have made the APR. Says other schools had used UT APR in negative recruiting.

Peterman practicing in gloves, Worley injury identical to Peterman

Jones said Riley Ferguson will be the No. 2 quarterback this week. He said the Vols are going to lean toward Josh Dobbs' experience over Ferguson.

Jones again downplaying Ferguson being in a protective boot. He was able to practice without any problems today.

Nathan Peterman practiced today but appeared to be a bit limited. He wore a glove on his throwing hand and didn't do much during the portion open to media, but Jones said he'll see how Peterman progresses this week.

Randolph and Moore back at practice will be good to go Saturday

Butch: # Vols safeties Brian Randolph (shoulder) and Byron Moore (ankle) practiced today and are OK.

apr= academic progress rate its a rating system that measures how many student athlete a school graduates or if they leave early if they were making progress toward their degree..if a school gets a low score they loses scholys and maybe even a postseason ban..we were close thanks to Dools and Kiffin

I know that our coaches are paid to win ball games but let me tell you something, after hearing THIS news I don't care if we win another ball game this year (OK, yeah I do but you get the point!) What these young men have managed to accomplish academically under the leadership of this coaching staff is fantastic and should NOT by any means be understated or undervalued! These STUDENT athletes deserve to be commended for their efforts
