Didn't make it to the scrimmage but here is what I am hearing:

Ainge took a step back tonight didn't look quite as sharp. Crompton played well. Hardegree threw a couple of picks. Quintin continued to look good. Stanley had another drop.

If it's like last week I'm sure the reports will differ.

Ainge needs to step up and play football. I believe it is his injury that has Ainge suckin. If you look at the games before his injury, Ainge looked poised and confident. Ever since the injury Ainge has looked very scared, un-easy, unconfident---and if you are these things you will not be a good QB

nah, they will be well into game prep by next Tuesday.

I figured the reports would differ. Definitely seems unanimous that Hardegree played poorly though. Maybe those "rumblings" about him being the guy will stop now. :)

The Auburn and USC games were before the injury, and he didn't set the woods on fire against mighty Mississippi.

I was there, and like Coach Phil said, the guys are tired. I was glad to see Crompton get some snaps with the first teamers, and he can scramble well. Marvin Mitchell intercepted a Hardegree throw for a TD. Asumnu had great TD chances, but dropped or tipped the Cooter throws. Jim Bob was wild with the ball, but what do you expect. All in all, a good scrimmage, and I can't wait for California.

Thanks for the report Bobby Dodd. Some are saying that you can tell the guys are tired of practicing. Did you get that impresssion?

Watching the latest scrimmage video, our defense looks FAST. They might be really fun to watch this year, except in the rain.

Defense didnt have as much pep as usual, but they still made great plays. Yeah, these guys are tired. But they are looking forward to game prep, rather than season prep I can tell.

From watching the video either we broke a lot of tackles or missed a lot of tackles.

Are they as physical in person as they are on video?

In the scrimmage video, they focus on an older blonde headed guy in an orange shirt about 1:00 into the video. Who was that? Looked like Sterling Marlin to me. Anyone know?
