Not blaming the ump for missing it. Just saying that by rule I think it's a foul ball when that happens.

The correct ruling would be a dead ball, no pitch, Because the ball is in fair territory (over the plate) when it is hit the second time and if it is intentional (which it obviously wasn't) the batter would be out on a dead ball, no one advances
