Here's some stuff you may not know about Liberty. It's growing like weeds because of its online program. I think there's something like 50,000 Internet-only students. It's kind of staggering how many people are taking Liberty Online courses (I did). Lots of military people and non-qualifiers (ahem) because you don't have to be in any certain place to do their programs.

They are using that money to build themselves an FBS team. They're already in the process of getting their stadium up to 30,000 seats (one of the FBS requirements). Getting Gill is sort of what they'd need to do to make the leap up to a Sun Belt team or something of that like.

Liberty became relevant in FCS when their previous coach, Rocco took over in 2006. The previous poster was accurate about the growth of the school, they also have over 12k on campus students.

I was briefly in Lynchburg once, and it looked like they feared an invasion with how difficult it was to drive there. I am surprised to hear how lofty their football goals are. I'll be impressed if this transition to FBS is successful.

I don't think he wouod forfeit 2 mil a year for a 100k year job or whatever he is getting paid.

I wonder how much of his salary do they require he puts into the collection plate on Sundays
