Watching the upcoming class come together...can't help but get pumped up about where we're headed.
Been a Vol for more years than I care to mention, attended UT during Majors first years on the Hill as coach and have suffered through some great times...and really bad times during that time...but NOTHING like we've had recently.
BUT - seeing this recruiting class come together...we are on the road to something special if it all holds together. These young men are not only talented, but they are TRULY Vols, not just signing with a team to go to the next level. They WANT to be part of the Vol family, and that will make a huge difference.
For myself, this is something else to watch with these legacy kids coming in, as I watched or even had class with their fathers. If only the McKenzies had some big kids to bring along for our line...would be wonderful.
We've suffered mightily as Vols over the past several years...but the future is as bright as I can remember in quite a while.
If this staff can take this talent and coach them up properly, we can return to not on prominence in the SEC and nationally, but will also return to sending the NFL many quality players (not just the one or two a year).
Regaining the recruiting edge within the state is monumental, and having the legacies join in, these kids will not only play for themselves, but also for a team and state that they love...pride always raises performance and drive.
We have been a 5-7 team for what seems like forever now...and we have such enthusiasm for us with these guys...it's uplifting and will be special.
We are Tennessee...and we are coming back!
Yeah...not a new thread...several similar out there, but thought I'd add one more. Just overly impressed by reading these recruit's comments on twitter, etc that I felt like posting.
