I know there is a lot of football left to play, and Tennessee needs to keep winning. However, something to keep in mind in the final college football playoff selection is television viewership. To this date, Tennessee has been in the two highest rated games so far this year based on viewership. 13.06 million vs Georgia and 11.56 million vs Alabama. That could be something that swings the pendulum a little bit.

Clicks, views, ticket sales, etc do absolutely play a part.

Look at how we’ve recently been upgraded in bowls when we had horrible records and really didn’t deserve it. The media and vile folks knew the money will come if the Vols are present.

It’s just one of many factors but it plays in our favor. I think everyone but Georgia wants that rematch. A dry neutral filed with something to prove might be different.
