'Twas the night before elections

And all through the town

Tempers were flaring

Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe

With a cat in my lap

Had cut off the TV

Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden

There arose such a noise

I peered out of my window

Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet

They wanted my pay

To give to the others

Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money

And quick as a wink

Jumped back on his bandwagon

As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen

Who were pulling his cart

I could tell they were out

To tear my country apart!

' On Fannie, on Freddie,

On Biden and Ayers!

On Acorn, On Pelosi'

He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause

And as he flew out of sight

I heard him laugh at the nation

Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think

On this one final note-

IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM

GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Thoughts?

Just curious. How many people here actually fall in the tax bracket that Obama says he wants to raise? $250,000/year + Again, just curious.

I would venture to say almost no one here, but I could be wrong.

The real question is how many have any hope to improve their station in life. With Obama's socialist policies, true class mobility will all but disappear.

A somewhat irrelevant question if I see where you are going.

I'm not in that income bracket and don't desire to do the work to get there (I'm quite comfortable as is). However, I believe the philosophy underlying Obama's economics is completely flawed and will do much more harm than good.

Just curious. How many people think that $250,000/year+ number won't fall drastically.

Last I heard, it was already down to $120,000.

I know you are just being curious, but why does it matter?

It just seems like a lot of folks are concerned about their taxes going up. So, I wanted to see how many were over the campaign demarcation amount.

Why would it fall, and how exactly? please explain.

For the second time in a week, a prominent Democrat has downgraded Barack Obama's definition of the middle class -- leading Republicans to question whether he'll stick to his promise not to raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000.

The latest hiccup in the campaign message came Friday morning on KOA-AM, when New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson pegged the middle class as those making $120,000 and under.

"What Obama wants to do is he is basically looking at $120,000 and under among those that are in the middle class, and there is a tax cut for those," Richardson said in the interview, according to a clip posted on YouTube.
Google it. It's already dropping.

Note he did not say raise taxes for those making more than $120k. He said tax cut for those making less than 120k. That includes me & most of my hard-working friends. How 'bout you?
You will NEVER see a tax cut under Barack Obama. He can't cut taxes, and pay trillions for his social programs.

Maybe he can cut taxes AND just keep borrowing like we have been. That has worked so far, right?

It sure as hell does.

Yes, but only among those of us who are willing to strive for it. Those who convince themselves that the system is set up to keep them down, and piss and moan about it rather than finding opportunities and taking full advantage, should look in the mirror rather than blaming the system.

:eek:k: Have some more commie Kool Aid. :eek:k:

I'll say this, all of those "Hard Working Middle Class" folks who pay their own way through life who actually believe the Obama crap are going to get exactly what they deserve.

Unfotunately, those of us who know better are going to get it too.

and it's still crap. He's hammering everyone who has excess income beyond that of his main voter bloc.

There are people here who qualify for the delineated hammering line and many more for the real one. Regardless, pretending that you earn your money any more than those at the high end of the income pile is stupidity, given tht most of those work obscene hours weekly.

Your upwardly mobile silliness just says more about you. I promise you that I am absolutely living proof. Uncle Sam paid for my undergrad education, but that's the extent of it. Rest was on me.

And, that is the difference between you and I. I am a man of principles, you are a man who simply looks out for yourself.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back to bondage.
The United States was not established as a Democracy. We were established as a Representative Republic and have devolved to the state we are in today. Feel free to continue to vote yourself money from the public treasury, however, you will reap what you sow.
