Calif. campaign watchdog eyes new Internet rules
I know there are quite a few groups trying to step in to regulate campaign usage on such sites. Some are going as far as wanting to regulate comments on articles and even blogs such as this in political discussions. Not sure how you can require independent sites to monitor and enforce checking on posters and who they may or may not represent. As far as actual candidates posting and tweeting, what is the difference between making a statement there and making a public speech?
This opens up a whole new can of worms.
