Coach Pope has done an incredible job with these receivers. Hyatt and Keaton are two of the most improved players on the team. In years past, these guys would’ve just left in the transfer portal and likely not heard from again. Pope had no experience as an assistant at the power 5 level before this year.

Coach Ellerbe’s OL dominated the best DL (or at least pass rush) in the country. Same vs LSU. Mincey missed most of that time and Crawford didn’t give up a sack or even a penalty. Darnell Wright is shooting up the draft boards too.

Absolutely agree!
They put in the work and their men put in the work and it shows. Putting in that work will definitely get them all paid sooner or later. I do think these two coaches need an immediate raise…….

I just gave your post a million likes. I’ll be the first to say I was worried about Pope.

Remember all those years when we were “just trying to find the five best guys to put on the field”. We now have tackles and guards - the guards are maulers and the tackles are athletic. We even have some depth in each group and a development plan for the future. I’m afraid to talk about the final improvement, but you know what I mean, and we can highlight it after the season, Elarbee has done a great job turning a weakness into a strength.
