Who would have guessed that there would have been two legends in this picture? Congrats to Todd Helton on an outstanding career in Colorado. What a way to go out as he homered in his last game.

Peyton was at the game to congratulate him.

I remember this season. Was really looking forward to Jerry Colquitt until his injury. Peyton and Brandon Stewart were the two highly touted freshman QBs. Its seems we chose wisely.

I remember being mad at the play we called that got Colquitt hurt. Then I thought Stewart had the better arm as he had one pass he thew for about 45 yards on a rope. But, alas, Peyton was and still is the man.

That was my senior year at Tennessee. The UCLA game Colquitt was hurt in was my 21st birthday...the rest got hazy :toast:

Great picture, interesting enough manning looks heavier that I recall. I remember he looking like stick and was worried he would break in half. hahah

Haven't seen those bushes at Neyland in forever

The latest additions and updates to the facility were part of a $136.4 million series of renovations, beginning in 2004 and completed by 2010. They included the bricking around the field and the removal of the previous hedges

Last game at home. I think the Rockies still have one more road series to play.

#6 = Brandon Stewart
#8 = Scott Sexton

I remember thinking how ironic it was that Stewart had more to do with us winning the NC than Peyton by beating Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship game. No doubt Peyton is the best QB in our history and top 2-3 in NFL history, and him being at UT most likely helped us get recruits for the '98 team. Wish we could have won one with him at QB as well.

Amazing how good we had it back them - here is to getting back to that level. :bow2:

Little did the other players suspect that they were being bracketed by two future hall-of-famers. For all I know, the little lass may be a cheerleading hall-of-famer, too.

I'm a huge Helton fan (always have been) but I think calling him a future Hall of Famer might be a little premature. Early in his career he appeared to be a first-ballot HOFer but not so much lately. If Keith Hernandez is not in the HoF, it's gonna be tough to make a case for Helton. That said...I hope he makes it. I used to check the box scores just to see what Helton did the previous night.

Playing in Denver hurts him

He should get in just for staying with the same team his entire career. He may be the last of a dying breed. Thats gotta count for something.

Man I remember that ucla game. My heart really went out for Jerry Colguitt. He patiently waited in line for his turn and it ended so bad.

I'm glad they did remove the hedges, it was way too Georgia.
