Looking at the schedule it appears that if we win out we have a very good shot at winning the EAST due to who FL, Mizz, and GA have to play the remainder of the season in the SEC.

If we win out Mizz only has to lose one other game (TXAM could be that game) and we jump them. GA or FL have to lose one other game and FL plays USCE and GA plays Auburn.

Now here is the funny thing. If we beat Mizz and win out and Mizz loses to TXAM there would be a four way tie in the EAST. It would then come down to who has the highest BCS rankings. I would assume that if we win out and beat BAMA we would have that highest ranking.

So in many ways, it appears, if we win out, as long as MIZZ loses one other SEC game, we control our fate.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I'll have whatever the Op is having. I have hope, but until we play the Bama game, I'm not holding my breath.

False. If a three way tie, it goes to straight up rankings in BCS. If over 3, division record would be the tiebreaker before bcs ranking. There are 7 tiebreakers scenarios if 4 teams are tied and division record is what eliminates some teams. We would be 4-2 in division if we win out. UGA has two losses and would be ahead of us because of head to head. UF is ahead of us just because of 1 division loss. We are ahead of USC as 2 loss division teams. We beat Mizzou and we are ahead of them as 2 loss division teams. We would be between UF/UGA and above Mizzou/USC. We need to win out and have Mizzou lose one game and UGA and UF to lose. That scenario goes straight to bcs ranking which I would assume would be us at 9-3 with wins over 11, 1, top ten (Mizzou), top 15 (Auburn), and two unranked.

An asteroid could hit the Earth this week and cause us to spin into the sun.

Not likely, but it could happen.

WOW. I mean there is a chance in hell, but have you seen those teams play? Bama and Mizz both undefeated, Aub is a one loss ball club, and lets not forget that Vandy just beat a Georgia team(that we should have beat) that we lost to. Let's not get carried away.

Vandy didn't play the same GA team we played.

GA is mentally beat down now. The MIZZ lost messed with their heads. They were playing for the SEC EAST and know that's gone now. It impacted them. Vandy caught them at a good time.

Yep.....the leg humpers mailed it in after Mizzou.......kinda like we did last year after Florida and Georgia.....their fire has been snuffed out and they are simply going through the motions now.

(1) Let's concentrate on qualifying for a bowl game.

(2) Once that is done, we can concentrate on getting to the highest bowl game by winning more than six games.

(3) Then let's concentrate on winning the bowl game.

And if every other team in the country loses alternate weekends and we win out, we could play for the NC. Mathematically possible but so unlikely nobody in their right mind is going to start a thread about it....

If we did upset Bama, against all odds, ... then anything else is possible, as well.

Are u freaking kidding me? Other than having Marshall who the Vols crippled early in the game, it was the same team!

Nope, he's not kidding and neither am I. Georgia is a demoralized and banged up team. If the Vols play Georgia today, we run them off the field with a hickory switch.
