At the Memphis TD club last night, CLK announced we would have two QBs enroll at mid term.

We know Tyler Bray is one. Do we know who the other one will be and I missed it?

no. i have no idea. but i think stevens is a strong start because he has been in the offense that impacted crompton for a year

Gotta be Simms.

If so, I will be very disappointed. I thought we should have taken Tajh Boyd, and I think that Cameron Newton is a no-brainer. JMO. We can't always agree with the coaches decisions.

I would be supprised if it is Simms, if so I can imagine that (17 Nick Stephens QB 6-4 227 Jr. 1L Flower Mound, Texas (Flower Mound) is out. But Kiffin, Im sure knows more than WE (VolNation) does.

But I would bet it is one of these 2

Which goes to show all of us, that the coaches could care less about our talent evaluations.

Simms really does not get me to excited but maybe he could surprise us all. I wish we had taken Tajh Boyd because I work with a Clemson fan and have to hear about it all the time. Cam Newton would be great I think but I guess CLK just thinks he does not fit the system and I trust his judgement. What I really wish is that Crompton had 1 more year left and I thought I would never say that.

What is your point? It's not like we are going to stop having an opinion.

Besides, the decision to not take Newton has nothing to do with "talent." If you think it does, you're insane. The dude has it.

I'm literally stunned. To me, Simms is an empty uniform. If it's him, one has to think he's 4th on the depth chart going into spring. He's got nothing going for him except a name.

Having an opinion is one thing, but saying that some prospect is a no-brainer sometimes comes off as a little know-it-all. We all have opinion bro, but there are several people on here that take what some of you guys say as the gospel. Just be careful in the wording is all I am saying. :hi:

what are you hearing from Clemson fans about Boyd? How well he handles a clipboard for a freshman?

All about character evaluations (being suspended from his team and other things) along with him wanting a starting guarantee. Am I not right?

Simms makes zero sense to me, there are plenty of qb's in the 09 class with his kind of talent. ex.-Hutson Mason. I am really confused on this one. Not saying we should take Cam, but Simms just doesn't seem to have the talent to come in as a juco and start which would be the only reason to bring him in. There must be something we are missing.

You are. Some are convinced he doesn't "fit the system." That's bull crap. Anyone with half a brain can watch his film and see that he fits any offense you want to run. The dude's arm is Vince Young strong. Wherever he goes, this kid gets drafted. Mark my words. 5 star talent on Rivals.

From ESPN:

Essentially we would describe him as a pocket passer with the ability to get out of trouble and make some plays with his legs when he needs to.

That's almost an insult to Hutson Mason. I cannot tell you how low I am on Simms. He is a waste of a scholarship.

Lamaison > Simms

Whatever, Eric. You come off as a know-it-all constantly and end up being wrong. I'll word things how I feel is appropriate, friend.

BTW, Oklahoma WRs run pro routes. That should indicate the style of offense they employ. They certainly don't utilize a running QB.

See, this is what I am talking about. So, your saying that our coaches don't have half a brain?? They don't have the talent to evaluate talent like you and other's on this board do?? That's where you and I differ a lot now. I don't watch film anymore, because it doesn't matter what I think. I can say a kid looks good and all, but I'm not gonna sit here and act like I'm someone from Rivals or Scout when I have no clue about doing it professionally.

Well, if I do then I guess I should probably not post as much. I guess I'll let the pros handle this forum then. :good!:

Tiff tiff guys! Can't we just all get along?
I do not think Nick should be included in these posts. Isn't he a given since he is already in school and playng ball? I believe Kiffin is referring to two new mid-term ees.Just how I read the thread anyway. I can see Bray being one and then one other new one and it beats me who the second is but I am willing to say he is a silent right now.
