Two more visitors this weekend....

I don't think we can be sure who is visiting until they actually make it to campus. So many have said they are visiting but never make it.

Officials are different than Unofficials, and it's two weeks to signing day. It's not like these guys have a lot of choice of where to go visit in the last 2 weeks.

No thank you to the DE.

I have to imagine they are seeing a guy at 6'2 200 as a weak side linebacker over being a DE. He has 4.5 speed and get him in a weight room and your probably looking at a 6'2 230 pound frame.

Not every recruit is a first or second year starter, I think infusing this program with guys who may be solid contributors in years 4 and 5 are also important. With the number of scholorships we have this is a good option imo.

Would not surprise me if Neal ends up at Tennessee. Kid has made an effort to take this visit even though he has been committed to Miss. St. for over 5 months.

His 40 is listed at 4.78. He can't play LB in the SEC with that kind of speed...or lack there of.

And where did I say anything about him being a starter? Of course everyone can't start, we have 85 scholarships to give out and only 24 starting spots including P and K.

He can probably grow into a DE. If Dooley wants him, that's fine with me. It doesn't matter anyway what I think, that's what he gets paid the big bucks to do.

We will just recruit over him in the next few classes anyway. We don't need more DE's we need more OL.

Kid is listed as a 4.7 but has never had any kind of strength and conditioning nor speed training. He has an incredible motor; is an incredible competitor and plays in one of the most rural areas of Alabama. If Dooley likes him enough to give him a visit, we should at least give him a chance.

I'm sorry, I just don't see the need to waste a scholly on another Chase Nelson type that will not see any playing time other than mop up.

If I have learned anything, is that trying to determine what a player is going to do in going from HS to college is nearly impossible.

You guys and your banking on Rivals listed 40 times crack me up... who knows where rivals got this from or when it was taken...

An example of the rivals listed 40 times that are wrong are L. Joyner-- 4.53 I bet if you saw his 40 time without seeing his star ranking you would say "4.53? he probably can't play cb in the S.E.C."

...another 40 time is G.Stanley... he is 6'2'' 245 and runs a 4.41? He should just sit out this year and show up at the nfl combine with those numbers...

This is true, I am glad they are taking the time to visit. It's crunch time for recruiting. I am still skeptical, but I sure hope they all make it here.

Could he be an MLB? Nick Reveiz (walk on) and Ellix Wilson (2 star) were both very solid Linebackers.

The "non-stop motor" seems to be the common denominator w/ Nick and Ellix. Don't know how you evaluate that in a prospect.

I wouldn't put to much into this guys 40 time. First off we don't even know if thats up to date, also Linebacker is not just about straight ahead speed. If he has good hips and good lateral movement he could be a great linebacker prospect. If these coaches want to offer this kid a scholarship, then I trust their evaluation.
