Two Observations

1. Oregon appears to have been too concerned about crying to the media concerning the BCS and not ready to take on the Sooners.
2. Anyone who tried to compare Fulmer and Stoops earlier this year owes Stoops a major apology. OU will contend for the national title next year.

Who in their right mind would have tried to compare those two even before the 5-6 season. Be like comparing apples and oranges (no pun intended). :birgits_giggle:

I agree. However, until the Vandy loss, people kept using Oklahoma as an example of a team struggling as much as UT was.

Yeah. Stoops really choked when they beat FSU 13-2 for the National Title. If you're not playing for National Titles, you definitely won't win any.

I predicted that Oklahoma would give Oregon fits. The Ducks didn't want to be in the Holiday Bowl. Many of Oklahoma's problems were due to an inexperienced quarterback and Adrian Peterson not being entirely healthy. A month off to prepare for the game helped with both of those situations.

Sadly, I did not have the cajones to make that prediction either in the Bowl Pick contest here or with the local bookmaker, so you guys will just have to take my word for it!

Oregon's problem was that Kellen Clemens was out with an injury but the team managed to win out... The offense really revolved around him. Dennis Dixon and Brady Leaf are decent QBs but ultimately still under development.

Maybe you are right Utfantilidie about beating a dead horse with CPF. But, he helped create his situation and fans have a right to be upset. Sometimes I get tired of the Fulmer delimma (sp?) but I also get tired of CPF too. Let's give him one more year.

IMO the Pac10 minus USC is about the same level as Conference USA and the Big East. I am really hoping that Texas waxes USC so the Pac 10 sheep will STFU and find a new bandwagon to jump on.
