Of course the teams with byes have the best records, but the Panthers and Patriots are on fire... I'd hate to play either of them right now, even with homefield. Panthers just beat a solid Giants team, on the road, and shut them out in the process, and the patriots took it to a 12-4 jaguars team

Panthers have been road warriors the past two yrs of the playoffs they've been in. They have the perfect scheme to have success on the road...field position, run the ball, control the clock, and stop the run on d..very good formula for them.

yes, they are dangerous... and this year with a steve smith just waiting to score a TD every play, it's good stuff

The Panthers are going to freeze their butts off in Chicago.

I think so too. But the Nc team has played up to their road team billing. Chicago will still have to score on Offense to snuff this one out. Lovie winning the Coach of the Year award is pretty cool. Beats the wizz out of Pats coach Fart getting more attention. :yuck:

Why did Del Rio put a crippled QB on the field for the whole game? I think it would have been more competetive if he'd kept Leftwich out.
BTW, although I was pulling for the Steelers, what a God-awful break for the Bengals, losing Palmer on the second play of the game. Anbody (besides me) think it would have been different if Palmer hadn't gone out?

I dunno if the Bengals would've won, but I think Palmer would have definitely served the Bengals better in a high-scoring game, which Pittsburgh managed to turn it into, on their end at least.

ah, what a good weekend...the Panthers, Steelers and Vols all won....

I think the Panthers, for the first time all season, may have the jeckyll and hyde syndrome snapped. they looked very good against the Giants, and that wasn't the Saints' offense they shut out, on the road....i think Chicago is going to have to come up with something VERY special on offense to beat the Panthers this weekend....and likewise for us....i seriously doubt we'll get 200 yards rushing against that D, but i have to think we got at least 3 points more offense than the Bears, even with Grossman :yuck: at qb....

and as for the Steelers...well, we'll never know about Palmer, but after watching the game, and the way they stopped the run....and the way the offense was clicking (complete opposite from last year's playoffs for big ben) i don't know that the Bengals would have won anyway....maybe closer of a game, but who knows....but the order is mighty tall this week...at Indy? hm. i just don't think the Steelers' secondary can hang for 60 minutes. and this one is tough for me...i really want Peyton to get a ring, but i really want the Steelers to win....this game might suck for me either way...

Im all Indy, my Boys didnt have what it took to finish a game or get one started so as second nature... Go Peyton!
IMO the Colts could have been better off playing the Bye week, not for PM but the rest of the O and for sure to keep that D sharp and on its toes. Im against starters sitting out games late in the season. :mf_surrender:
