Two UGA players investigated by police for marijuana

Kirby Smart was unable to give details on the status of linebackers Natrez Patrick and Roquan Smith after the two were investigated by police after the smell of marijuana was detected from their dorm room on Saturday.

University of Georgia police responded to a call from a resident advisor at the McWhorter Hall dormitory in East Campus Village Saturday evening. The R.A. claimed to have smelled marijuana coming from Patrick’s room.

When the police searched the room, they didn’t find a testable amount of the substance but they did find a Arizona Sweat Tea can with a secret compartment Patrick admitted he used to store cannabis.

According to the police report, a “green smoke buddy,” used to filter pot smoke to make it less detectable, and tobacco that had been removed from Black N’ Mild cigars was also found.
