Congratulations to VFLs LaTrell Bumphus and Jerome Carvin for making it through training camp and earning NFL roster spots! Bumphus made the Seahawks team while Carvin joins Trey Smith in KC. Good luck to the other VFLs picking up on practice squads.

Really happy for those guys who persevered through lots of hardships and uncertainty.

I read an article about Bumphus in his hometown paper - 6 years, 3 coaches, COVID experience, significant injury, undrafted but kept grinding and now has a roster spot. He also seemed to come through it with a great attitude.

Good luck to both!

2022 Vols with NFL roster spots:
Wright - Bears
Hooker - Lions
Tilman - Browns
Hyatt - Giants
Young - Rams
Carvin - Chiefs
Bumphus - Seahawks

Missing anyone?
Nope, you are correct. You can also hit the link I posted in the first message. It shows players from UT on rosters, not practice squad players.

I was surprised we didn’t have more people drafted. Good for them!

Practice Squad Signings:
A.J. Johnson - Dolphins
Princeton Fant - Cowboys
Micah Abernathy - Falcons

I'll edit as I find more.
Really happy for Princeton Fant. I was surprised by his making the PS in that I hadn't read any projections that he was being considered. Im thrilled for him and actually think with a break or two he could make it onto a active roster someday. He is very very talented and versatile in my opinion.

Jerome Carvin reverted to IR yesterday for the Chiefs and will either be outright released or injury settlement, correct? If so, means he was injured during training camp maybe? Bummer for a good guy.

So Carvin at least will be getting paid. The Chiefs cannot outright release him. An injury settlement is on the table, but they can also keep him on the IR all season. This basically gives him a redshirt year. Either way, it is much better than being a camp cut.

Thanks for posting. What am I missing...don't we have more? I don't even see Trey Smith on that list from the link.
edit: My bad. For some reason only part of the list loaded the first time.

Marquez Calloway- Raiders
Kyle Phillips- Saints

AJ Johnson was robbed out of millions of dollars.

Princeton Fant will work hard and find his way into a roster.

Calloway must have gotten hurt. He balled out for the Saints
