The article headline says 50k but that is only from one organization.

They are great, ATX has some nice breakfast joints. Magnolia, Kerbey Ln, 24 Diner. Lots of small places that are super cheap too. My go to is the cafeteria across from the capital & connected to the usps building. Cheapest food you can find downtown.

We poked them this season and I don't see that trend ending until they leave the conference. I kinda hope they stay long enough so the new guys can poke them at least once too.

It's what they do in Texas. All the Texas schools spend money on football like drunken cowboys and have very, very little untainted hardware for it.

Vince Young performed miracles in the 2005 Rose Bowl and I think SMU bought some wins in the 80s before the death penalty caught up with them.

Other than that I think we're talking pre-WWII for any Texas school to win the trophy.

Let 'em spend. It's never worked before.

Edit: it looks like TX managed to get in a coupla good years in 69 & 70 that I forgot. My bad. They've got 3 clean championships in 75 years or so. The rest of Texas looks like that stretch from Midland to El Paso...... desolate.
