HAYNES KING on Hudl

Longview (Texas) 2020 QB standout Haynes King has picked up a Tennessee offer, per his head coach (who is also his father).

Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Missouri, and TCU are among his 16 offers to date.

King has a 26-1 record as a starter. He led Longview to a 16-0 season in 2018 and the Texas Class 6A Division II state championship, the school's first state title since 1937.

King has grown two inches since April and is in the 6-3, 180 range now. He has enormous hands and is young for his grade.

He's been verified at 4.68 in the 40 and 4.08 in the shuttle. He runs the 400, the 4x400 relay, and throws discus. He also plays basketball.

King finished his junior season with 3,877 passing yards, 42 TD's, and 4 INT's, while rushing for 664 yards and eight TD's.

King is ranked significantly higher by the 247 rankings than the Composite and could soon be in line for a four-star bump following his huge junior season.

Impressive stats especially since he is young for his grade. Plenty of time to fill that frame out. Gonna be a good QB for someone, glad we got on him now. 6A in TX is no joke.
They are really good and play some really tough competition.

Maybe he has the hands of Fred Biletnikoff or Charlie Joiner. What's his Vertical? Can he go up and get the jump ball?

Maybe Chaney knew Kelly, who I believe is Harrison Bailey's primary recruiter, wasn't sticking around? Or just because he can
