DESOTO, Texas — Daylon Singleton put himself on the radar of colleges around the state and around the country during DeSoto (Texas) High School’s march toward a state championship last season.
Singleton, a major contributor on the Eagles’ offense as a sophomore last season, had a massive growth spurt this offseason. The
On3 Industry Ranking four-star wide receiver has added almost three inches and 15 pounds to his frame, checking in at close to 6-foot and 175 pounds this spring. In the process, he has secured new scholarship overtures from the likes of
Tennessee, Texas A&M and Grambling State, among others.
The offer from the Vols caught the Texas native’s eye in a big way.
“Their passing game,” Singleton started, on the offer Tennessee. “They’ve had a lot of big-time wide receivers coming out of there, and I see their ability to get their receivers ready for the next level.”
