Recruiting: Woods initially committed to SMUbefore flipping to Arkansas, where he became coach Chad Morris' first recruit. Before committing to SMU, he also took visits to Northwestern and Texas A&M.

At Arkansas: After redshirting in 2018, Woods totaled 65 receptions for 1,032 yards and nine touchdowns during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He averaged 19.3 yards per reception in 2020, which was third in the SEC.

Potential landing spots: Woods quickly received interest from dozens of schools, including Penn State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Michigan, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington State, Florida, Florida State, USC, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Baylor, Virginia and Louisville. The Sooners and Nittany Lions have been two of the most aggressive in the early stages.

Farrell’s Take: Woods is a matchup problem in college as we’ve already seen at times as a big receiver and a downfield long strider who can blow past many. He will have his choice of major programs and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him land with Oklahoma or another wide open offense known for distributing the ball and with good QB play.

Impact Meter: 8.8 out of 10

Lincoln Riley showing everyone the blueprint on how to get to/stay at the top.. hand pick 12-15 high school recruits, fill out the roster with transfers.

I feel like that's only a COVID year thing since they don't have to sit out a year.

Tenn is really using the portal, just not in the way they should be. Well so far Tn went and got 1/2 QB and knowing they need all kinds of help

Yeah I’m not sure how you stop it from happening though. Plausible deniability. Just too easy to skirt around.

They tried to come after Treylon Burks first but he told them no so they moved on to Woods.
Respect to Burks. He’s a hell of a player

2 and Milton is not any better than what is already here
Far as we know. Wasn’t a big fan of the move when it was a message board concept, but Heupel has a history of recognizing QBs who can play for him. So this is on him with tentative trust...hoping it’s not a Madre London move.

The number of fans that continue to parrot this is hilarious. Is it possible this turns out to be true, sure. No sure things either way. But for a head coach with the knowledge, track record, and inside knowledge about this QB to think Milton can possibly be better than what we got and have that followed up fans saying "I watched his film and saw his stats from Michigan and he is worse than what we have!" My question is do you REALLY think the info you are forming your opinion on is a extensive as CJH? Do you REALLY think your analysis of what you see when you watch the film is able to see it the same way as CJH? Again, does that mean Milton is a sure fire slam dunk, no. But the amount of overestimating our expertise/info in situations like these always cracks me up. I think it gets worse because we are good about having a great memory of the times we "got it right" in a similar situation. But we quickly forget the times we were wrong. And we fail to recognize the different variables in the different situations.

Dude....coaches recruit sucky QBs all the time.
Even Lincoln Riley.

Yes. If we accept his transfer, he will not make the team better one bit if he actually plays.
Hooker is a superior QB. And I like Maurer and Bailey better than him.

This is a lot of nothing right here. You can use this on any player. I actually think Hooker looks better than Milton. There is nothing impressive about Milton. I am no QB guru or talent expert but his videos dont lie and I have been wrong about many players and things. What cracks me up is you typed all this and still said nothing

Pretty amazing that both of you could read that and literally not understand even a little bit what was actually said. Congrats!

The portal is just ensuring the rich get richer, while simultaneously giving a lot of kids false hope that they will get picked up while they linger in no mans land. But you know it’s all about the student athlete being empowered.
