I love Tyler and how hard he plays the game. He is a very good college player. That being said, he has no business coming out after this year and even if he stays, he is going to find there isn't a place for him in the NBA two years from now. He can't shoot from the outside and he is too small to play inside. He is going to have to learn to handle the ball better and play guard and defense. His offense isn't close to NBA level. I think he is one of those guys who is very good in college but suspect for the NBA.

This will be the weakest draft in quite some time. Coming out this year will be the highest he can be picked.

And therefore getting more $$$$. You are probably right. I just don't see him being anything more than a few minutes a game role player. Chism has much more of an upside for the NBA game

I think if he can go first round, he's gone. And, as others have said, with the weak overall pool out there, this is possible.

That being said, I don't see him being a highly successful NBA player, and I think staying one more year and working on his shot would definitely help him long term. However, when you have a two year old kid, it's hard to turn down guaranteed millions.

Let's assume that Tyler started playing basketball when he was 8 years old. How old is he now...22?

If he hasn't learned to shoot a jumpshot in the last 14 years, then what makes you think he can learn to shoot one next year?

Tyler is a heck of an athlete. He is a tough, competitive player. He is not, however, a pure shooter. I am a huge Tyler fan -- he is one of my favorite players, but he will be average at best in the NBA. That said, he should go pro this year.

I agree that Tyler is nowhere ready for the NBA. However, if he can get drafted and guarantee himself financial security, who can blame him?

Tyler is def not pro ready!! He needs to learn how to knock down the outside jump shot consistently enough. His offense is the paint are, thats the strength in his game. He also needs to improve on the defensive side of the ball. He will be a good role player in the NBA but i just cant see him bein a consistent starter. With that said the draft will be down this year & if he is projected to be a late 1st rounder then i dont blame him for leaving at all.

Not trying to be confrontational, but Chism having more upside for the NBA game. Not sure about that. He has a lot of maturing to do before he will ever put on an NBA uniform. Right now that HALO (sweat band) is his baby Huey look.

I dont see T Smith developing much of a Jumpshot. If he hasnt done it yet he aint gonna do it.
I agree with most, some team will like his versatility and draft him and that is all that matters. He will get paid and be set for a long time. In the end he will prolly end up overseas.
