It's really quite simple. TN changed direction, a winning direction, and there are those who do not want to pay the price to be a part of it. They lose!

I believe that 'ol Billy needed his ego massaged a little more. Needed some more luvin and didn't get it. He doesn't get it either. His son is screwed for at least one, maybe 2 years. BS and CB miscalculated and the result is that Ty is screwed.

I'm thinking BS was seeing Ty in Carolina Blue.

I think that he really thought Buzz was a better coach, It would explain EVERYTHING.

thoughts?

Tyler only scored 17 on SAT. Wasn't going to make anyway. Thats why he is going to prep school. [/quote]
I sure hope its the ACT if he only scored 17 on the SAT  he really needs prep school

The answer is something else going on behind the scenes. Yes, the dad is a major factor here, but one of the key things to seeing all of the situation will never be made public knowlege.

I do like a lot of the thoughts and speculation I've seen on all the boards though. Very interesting possibilities, but most of them not correct.

I thought it was interesting on sportstalk that Pearl was asked do you feel like there were promises made to Tyler Smith that you couldn't keep?

He replied that he wouldn't comment on anything that was done inappropriately. That's not what Hyams meant, but I found it odd that he took the question that way.

Interesting. Coaches have a tendancy to make desperate moves when they are close to being ousted. I guess we can send our rejects to Coastal Carolina now.

I am sure this Tyler Smith kid is a good player, but all of this about him that I am reading kind of paints the picture of the state of UT basketball. Most other teams could really care less about this kid because it is obvious he has some family issues that may get in the way of the team. Pearl made a run at him and he chose to go in a different direction. Have fun and I hope it works out for you. Actually I could care less whether he makes it or ends of flipping burgers at McDs. But this road bump will not get in the way of the ultimate goal for Pearl. He knows he must win some games with this current crop of players before he can make some real dents on the recruiting trail.

TNVOL1 you should run another thread charting the progress Pearl is making towards recruiting. You seem to have access to good info and I think it will only be buried in this thread.
