obviously Tyler is our best overall player, but does anybody else thing he should sometimes pass more often? like when there is 3 guys on him?

He saved us when he started taking over in the Georgetown game late 2nd half before Tatum went off.

the one time that i noticed it most is when he was on the block against G-Town and got called for an offensive foul for trying to turn around and shoot.. they started to figure it out.. but we don't wanna take anything away from his game...

If anything I think he needs to shoot the 3 more if he's open, Instead he tries to dribble into a crowd.

That was the exact phrase I was going to put. Right now, he's the only player on our team that's battle tested and proven that he's capable of hitting big time shots.

He does seem to be taking it himself more this year but that is to be expected. I think it also lets him test what he can do later in the season. Other players do not look to be moving a lot, trying to get open. Sometimes it looks like they are just standing still. I believe he's getting more confidence in his facing the basket jump shots.

Tyler needs to hit the open 3. It will make him a more dominant player. The defense is giving him the open shot because they know he will not take it and just drive in the lane where the zone collapses and smothers him. If he'll just attempt a couple a game that will be enough to keep the defense honest. It would be different if he couldn't hit it, but he has shown that he can at a very good percentage.

This young team is searching for an identity. I actually like that Tyler is letting some of the newcomers find their spots. He is, and will continue to be, our best player and the leader of the team.

Ok first off Tyler does need to pass the ball more....(not if he is one on one) but obviously when Tyler is double teamed we need some people to spot up for the three ball....Second off Tyler is not a three point shooter so all you people that say "Tyler should shoot the three pointer more, your wrong." Tyler is a dominant inside man and we need to keep it like that....Third when he is double or triple teamed Tatum or Hopson need to spot up on the arch and knock down the three ball....

I beg to differ. Tyler has a good 3-ball.

Tyler shooting the 3 keeps the defense honest and makes the defense extend to guard the perimeter more. He is more effective in the paint, but he can make the three.

He made 38% of them last year. I would think that would make him a pretty good 3 ball shooter.

Every team has to have a "go to" guy, and Tyler's this year's version. Though a great passer, he's the one player on this team that needs to have the shoot first mentality.
This should serve us well when we're being challenged in crunch time and need the big shot. Who better to look for it than Tyler?
