Can't say I understood his music before, but had been trying to listen to him more with him headlining Bonnaroo. This "documentary" opened my eyes a lot and made me appreciate his work a whole lot more. His music makes a lot more sense now, but I also yugely respect that he produces his own music videos, music, merch, designs, etc. Super creative guy with a real unique sense of everything once you get past his trollish younger days.
It also blew my mind that he once lived in a house owned by Taco Bennett (Dave's sound engineer friend from Dave/Lil Dicky's FXX show), along with some no names like Frank motherfrickin Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt...all parts of the Odd Future collective. Crazy.
