Correct...In addition to record, I look at quality wins, and who the losses were against and where

Minnesota beat Louisville and has only one loss....I think Louisville is darn good

I agree about Louisville. However, that's about the extent of Minnesota's resume. There are a whole bunch of teams who would have that record against their schedule. I think Tubby is one more recruiting class from having a really, really good team. When the guys he has signed up for next year get some time with this year's freshmen, Michigan State will have some legitimate competition.

Clemson and Syracuse are probably deserving of their rankings...but they're both going to take a tumble over the next couple of weeks.

You can probably bank on minnesota losing at least 4 of their next 7, and probably more like 5, and a very reasonable chance at 6.

You can average a miss per possession against minny and still probably get a bucket per drive, that's how bad they are on the defensive glass. And for all those nice blocks they get down-low, they negate them with their constant hacking.

"Kentucky was right there in my top five,'' Hopson said. "It wasn't about not wanting to go to Kentucky, but Tennessee was a better fit for me and I'm enjoying my time here and think I made the right decision.''

That's a political answer, and a good one, but I get the impression that there is a little more bad blood between Hopson and Billy G. than this quote implies.
