I haven't heard his name kicked around for any of the big name jobs, but I wonder if he might be a darkhorse somewhere. He was also 9-4 and CUSA COY in 2019.

He might be hired in the "second round" of coaching hires. What I mean by second round is that, when the current big boys with vacancies fill them, some will take from other power 5 schools. Like when USC took Kiffin from UT or when Florida took Mullen from Mississippi State or when Mississippi State took Leach from Washington State, etc.

So Helton could very well be hired in that 2nd round of power 5 hires.

He took Western past Marshall on Saturday 53 - 21 at Marshall.

A name to really look at is their 1st year OC Zach Kittley....He's come in year one and they're lighting the scoreboards up and piling up the yards...He's a guy Nape needs to give a serious look at when he's assembling his staff.
