Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich has vowed to fight to keep Strong, who has a 24-14 record in three seasons.

Jurich said the university would make Strong the highest-paid coach in the nation.

"We'll make him No. 1 if we have to," Jurich said in October.

Old news...I don't really think the money has anything to do with Strong's decision. If his motivation is driven by a desire to coach at the highest level, it makes sense for him to move along, regardless of Louisville's attempts to retain him...

and Strong was pissed that only 40,000 fans showed up to the home finale when they were 9-1...

Some things money can't buy.

Strong want's this job, the only way Louisville will keep him if we offer him the job is to kidnap him and tie him up.

I bet Strong takes the offer. But even though the money and contract....reported around $3.75 for five years...I think Strong wants to prove he is capable of being a HC in the SEC. His name was in the top for assistants being a HC and he was turned down in the SEC. Listening to 104.5 here in Nashville they they he'll take the UT job because there might not be a another good chance next year or the following year like the UT job.

Does Louisville even have 6 million a year to give to Strong? Isn't that what Brown makes at Texas?

I just can't see Louisville siphoning off enough money for him to stay there.

Nice try though, Tom. I do wish you were our AD.

Give him ten mill a year

Find it hard to believe any coach gets 10 million a year anytime soon. Maybe Saban if he stays at Bama another 6 years...
