Guaren-effen-tee you there is a way to hack it. Or back door it. As soon as you are mass producing it and enabling point to point contact on demand basis, there is some way to reproduce it for nefarious way.

Our government wouldnt allow it otherwise. See their demands on Apple and all the backdoors they require on our communication already.

Quantum mechanics are ... “different”. I wasn’t even aware they were trying to leverage the physics as a communications medium.

If it can be a mass produced on demand service it can be copied, back doored, hacked, or whatever. Heck it could be as low tech as a low jack transmitter receiver built in. Even if you cant "hack" the signal you can hack whatever is connected to it.

We as a country need to be much more responsible and mature to have this tech help us rather than hurt us. As long as someone like Trump can even sniff the Oval Office we are nowhere close to where we need to be to be trusted.

So quantum mechanics are probably the next great scientific frontier I believe. You have to remember, with the only exception I think being Einstein’s analytical development of General Relativity, all of our physical laws are empirically derived. That is we saw a physical phenomena and then conducted experiments to describe the physical observation. Isaac Newton gets bonked on the head by an apple and dreams up gravity (not really but...) then experiments are conducted to determine the general gravitation attraction equation... etc...

But quantum mechanics is a new frontier. Encoding information on and accurate manipulation of sub atomic particles. It’s a pretty cool time for discovery for the physicists in the world.
