A lot of the rain from down there is supposed to be heading our way.

Anybody hear how Bayou Vol made out in all that weather you all had?

It was raining sideways most of the night past midnight then around 3pm got real bad.

Tree fell down on a house around the block.

Lots of limbs and branches.

Not much flooding though.

Anything bad around your house?

Two things I learned after 3 years in Florida:

1. Never EVER trust a hurricane forecast
2. Gainesville is a hell-hole

I would agree 100% about the forecast but have you ever seen a Hurricane coming from Dennis' direction not swipe up and curve east?

I sure haven't....if the initial forecast says Mobile'ish....I expect it to hit east of Destin

WOW!

It blew out the windows? Was it the wind or something that got caught in the wind

I didnt see anything that could have hit it. I have a pretty old house that is in need of some new windows so it probally wouldnt take too much!!

Hey la, you and U-T take precautions down there because Dennis doesn't look too good right now. Maybe it will head East and maybe not.

Don't want to have to worry about you all not being ready for this one. Right now it looks bad, but we'll pray it eases up and/or moves!

Thanks for the prayers!!! You dont have to worry about me. I dont take any chances with 2 little ones at home and a safe place to go. We have family up in Shreveport, LA and probally will just go and visit them for the weekend. If I leave I will let yall know!!!!! B)

Yeah. I remember a few years back there was a less severe storm heading right where Dennis is projected that suddenly turned 90 degrees to the East and barrelled into the West coast of Florida. It missed Tampa, but we still got dumped on.

Right. Then again, the two worst Hurricanes to hit New Orleans both did twist and turns all over the place so you never know
