That we took Butch Jones away.... Says he's a really good coach and UT is lucky to have him. I have to admit.... I was not behind this hire (to say the least....) this morning but after processing it through the day I realize that Tennessee has cast its lot with Jones for the long haul. We can't afford to fire him (and hopefully it won't be an issue...) so its in everyones best interest to do what we can as fans to facilitate a successful transition to this new regime. Comparing him to Dooley is unfair and (even though I did this exact thing myself this morning....) judging Jones by the UT Cincinnati game two years ago is also unfair. It may not be seamless or without some painful losses but Jones' philosophy (given the right personnel) could very well work in the SEC... I am going to wait until this time next year to make any final judgements....

Yeah, football math doesnt work. Don't forget that the 2007 Tennessee team got shalacked by Florida then went on to give the eventual NC LSU team hell in the SEC championship game. I don't think the turnovers helped Cincy in that game.
