UCF Fans Planning to Crash ESPN GameDay

Apparently some attorney down here in Orlando is paying to send a busload of UCF students to "take over" Gameday this Saturday.

Imagine 100K drunken UF and UGA fans united against 100 or so Johnny Come Lately noobs from a commuter school.

This can't end well.
I can't believe they haven't let this go yet. I suppose they won't until they lose a game.

They have let that Auburn victory go to their head so much. I don't think anybody is saying that they aren't good. This year and last year (especially last year) they would absolutely be competitive in a P5 conference. But national championship winners? Come on now. You can't get there only by playing and beating 2 P5 teams, only one of which was good. And then this year...who is the best team they've played? A 3-4 Pitt team?

A lot is made of Alabama's schedule, and it is weak by their standards, but they've played and beaten 6 schools that are, at an absolute minimum, as good as Pitt.

Even setting aside the fact that Pitt is their best OOC game, even their G5 opponents have been awful. Only one of their 7 opponents is at .500 (Memphis). Everyone else has a losing record.

Part of the problem for UCF is no one will schedule them. Why would a top 10 or top 25 take the risk? Win and it's all about UCF not being legit. Lose and it sets program back.

I dont get why they don’t just start scheduling big time out of conference games. Like Ohio State, Bama, etc

Who won't schedule them? I'm pretty sure their schedule has been set for a few years and nobody knew they'd be in this undefeated streak. It's not like last year they tried to play Alabama, Ohio St. etc. and they all said no.

If they are holding out for a home and home then yeah, many big schools won't do it because it's not worth it financially, but I doubt anyone would be against playing them in one of the early season neutral site games.

It was a few years away (2023), but they were scheduled to play Texas until UTjr backed out of it to make room for a home and home series with Alabama

Their non-conference schedule is set years in advance. If they were playing great P5 conference teams today, those matchups would have been agreed to 4-5 years ago, when UCF was nothing like the team they are today (outside of that one year with Blake Bortles). The P5 team putting them on the schedule probably would have been criticized for it. Ironic.
