UCF showing why they aren't playoff worthy.

Struggling at home with unranked Temple.

8 point game in the 4th qtr

1. I think that defensive performance showed that UCF is nowhere near the level of a playoff team

2. Temple was called for some REALLY questionable penalities. A suspicious person might wonder if there is incentive to get UCF in the discussion.

Here's hoping that UCF draws a solid bowl game against a solid P5 team that really wants to be there (unlike Auburn of last year), and we can once and for all dispense with the myth that UCF can punch with the big boys.

Either way, I hope they get a shot to prove they do...or don't...belong in the conversation.

Game turned on ridiculous personal foul call against Temple when the running back pushed a UCF lineman off of himself. The UCF lineman should have been called for piling on and a late hit. Just another example of where a conference tries to protect their top team.

Probably depends on the bowl and the team. Granted, even if they loose, they're still probably one of a literal handful of Group of 5 programs that I wouldn't want to underestimate. Even a lot of the better P5 schools often find it a challenge to win 2 major bowl games in 5 years. A loss this year doesn' take away their Peach and Fiesta Bowl trophies. Granted a Fiesta Bowl trophy is kind of a double edged sword since you need half a dozen people to move the thing safely.
