UCLA QB Transfer Is A Joke

Fact: if you can't start at UCLA you might want to start focusing on your broadcasting career.

What a weird press release. Maybe this guy will be able to hook up with Maples for some big yards though. I would still really like to see Maples do something great with his talent.

Former WR Tyler Maples? What talent?

He's not a former WR. He's a former Tennessee WR. Either you are trying to get a rise out of someone, or you are an idiot.
He won two Mr. Football awards. He was the star of three state championship teams. He's got good size for a college WR. He runs a 4.4.
Not sure why Fulmer didn't play him. Probably because he was young.
Kiffin probably wasn't going to play him because he wanted to use "his" guys.
Just because a kid might not appear to be a Nu'keese Richardson, it doesn't mean he isn't talented.
He should really shine at Furman. Just look at former Maryville Rebel Ryan Talent and all of his success...he's even a much smaller/slower kid.

Lol - We're talking about Tyler Maples.

I hope you're not serious. Are you Tyler's dad/uncle/cousin/best friend/graduate of his high school?

Look at his location. (And look up where Maples went to HS, if you don't already know.) Tells you all you need to know.

Regarding Fulmer: was Gerald Jones some kind of old veteran? Denarius Moore?

And as far as Kiffin, is Quintin Hancock one of "his" guys? Is he biased toward Hancock and against Maples? You are making an awful lot of excuses for someone who quite simply wasn't good enough.

from what i was told maples would have projected better as a DB, hands were not all that great, but i personaly had not seen any proof for or against this.

Poor guy. That's horrible. Someone should have read that and told him not to put it out there. The last line is the best one.

Fact: I want to be part of the "Greatness of Fuhman University" academic's.

1. Fulmer probably didn't play him because he wasn't good enough on an already talent depleted roster.
2. I'm pretty sure Gerald Jones, Denarius Moore, are Quintin Hancock are going to see significant time at WR. Are those Kiffin's guys?
3. Where did I say anything about Nu'Keese Richardson? He has not even played one game.
4. I just noticed you are from Maryville, I can see why you made this post.

:mf_surrender: haha! You cracked the case. I graduated from Maryville High School in '99. I'll even share another bit with you...my brother-in-law played football with Maples in high school.
Now, what is your point??
I'm not making excuses for anything. I'm not even arguing that Maples is good enough to be a star in the SEC. I'm simply saying that he's definitely good enough to be the star of the team at Furman. I've seen him play quite a bit, and I can tell you that his solid numbers are for real.

My point was directed to that basically. Didn't matter that he was young - or that he wasn't one of Kiffin's guys. He just wasn't quite that caliber of player.
