Simply put, UCONN is a fine relentless oiled basketball team. The game was close, and Oregon State looked good early but, at half it is 47 to 26. We might not like UCONN or Genno but he owns the Women's NCAA's. The Baylors, NDs, USCs, Louisvilles, Marylands all have excellent coaches but they must up steep their games or it will continue to be business as usual and that is being dictated by Genno.

ND, BU, SCar will likely be much stronger teams at the beginning of next season than UConn.

But for today, UConn is putting on a defensive clinic for the first half.

I notice you didn't mention Holly in that list of excellent coaches. Just wondering how much deeper in the tournament those other teams went than the Lady Vols. Any idea?

I know what you are trying to say, but simply put Holly is still not a top ten coach.

Results say otherwise. It's been a rough year, but had a good run late.

Well I am glade that Holly made your year, however, with the talent we have, the year should not have been that tough for a good coach. The "the good run" should have been expected, we may have played like 2 stars but we had as many five star players as Genno. As I recall, we were suppose to be a final four team.

I'm so glad that you are glade. Been watching and supporting the LV's for over 40 years.

Because those teams will be better or because UConn will drop down a few pegs? While there will be more competitive games next year, the level of play will be worse, not better. WCBB would benefit if there were ten teams who played like UConn does this year. First time viewers are not going to get hooked on WCBB if the play is slow, no one can shoot, and no one hits lay-ups. (I would also add Texas and Maryland to your list.)

I have been a Lady Vol fan since Pat started coaching the Lady Vols, however, I know when to take the Orange colored glasses off and face reality. I love the Lady Vols even if I have to put up with the present coaching staff. I may dislike the coaching but I love the team.

Plum is holding her own. She is a PG that can shoot. Hillmans super powers in that big collar is the key! Those girls can shoot and press!

Well I guess if there is a way to put a positive spin on this season, is the fact the lady vols got drilled in the elite 8 by a team who will be in the NC game. Syracuse proves you don't need to play man defense all game and rely on an inside game to get great results.

Or, another way would be that we beat them in November.

Geno is the all-time greatest women's basketball coach....I love Pat don't get me wrong but Geno is just on a whole nother level.....Pat is an all time great coach too she changed the game of women's basketball and put it on a national stage but to me Geno is the best of all time

PS:: Pat never beat Geno when they went head to head in the title game
