UConn trio lands on 25-player Wade Watch list

No Lady Vols were included in the preseason list.
Only 2 SEC players made the list.

Twenty-five players were included on the 2008-09 preseason "Wade Watch" list as candidates for the Wade Trophy Division I Player of the Year award, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

Connecticut led the way with three nominees (Tina Charles, Renee Montgomery and Maya Moore), while California (Devanei Hampton and Ashley Walker), Duke (Chante Black and Abby Waner), Maryland (Marissa Coleman and Kristi Toliver), Rutgers (Epiphanny Prince and Kia Vaughn) and Stanford (Jayne Appel and Kayla Pedersen) each add two.
