word on local radio is that there have been recruiting violations with the men's program, and that the school and Calhoun arent nearly as close to a contract extension as they publicly let on.

I don't expect he'll retire or leave, but he appears to be acting the part of a stubborn old fool. Hard spot for all involved, dealing with issues like this with me man who put the school on the map atheletically.

I'm not sure why a Wall Street Journal article rehashing the same things we all heard last year about the Nate Miles situation is newsworthy.

hopefully the attention will bleed over to Geno and his recruiting of Maya Moore, and they'll find something

UCONN will be formally announcing Calhoun's contract extension tomorrow. Great job, WSJ. Looks like Rupert Murdoch has turned that formerly excellent paper into a piece of garbage modeled after his other media properties.

You couldn't tell? It's one of the things I actually admire about hat. He's not so much liberal though as he is "for everything hat believes in." Which is cool with me cuz that's how I roll.

There are idiots on both sides, but if there was a war of the talking heads the right would overwhelm the left.

Yeah, because anyone who sees the Roger Ailes and the Sean Hannities of the world for the mentally impotent blowhards they are has to be a leftist.

I totally understand. It's like seeing the Keith Olbermanns and Bill Mahers of the world for the useless wanna be's that they are and being labeled a TP or right right wing nut.

I'm a pretty hard core liberal and I agree that Olberman has become basically the mirror image of the FoxNews team. Maher, on the other hand, I find much more authentic and different in his viewppoints than the news manipulation and fear mongering on Fox News.

Compared to Olbermann maybe, but he's not really that much better.

How the heck did this thread turn into left wing/right wing talk?
