Nevermind I'll be 60 by the time this game rolls around, but UF is headed to Boulder in about 10 years.

If I'm still alive and able bodied, I'll be there to watch Ralphie run.

Man, that seems a long way out to schedule. I guess they chose Colorado because UF has a large alumni group in Denver?

The Rocky Mountain Gator Club is one of the largest in that region, so it could be a contributing factor.

Rumor is we’re about to announce a Big 12 opponent. Betting money is on Texas.

Surely they would play before 2028. I'm not sure the Big 12 will be around in 2028.

We aren’t scheduling the entire conference that may not be here in ten years, just hopefully Texas.

Texas will exist in ten years. They might be in the PAC-12 South or SEC West in ten years, but they’ll be around.

Ha ha. Yes, Texas will be around forever. But maybe in the SEC West in 10 years so really don't need to schedule them that far out. Anyway, good for UF to play out of conference and out of state. Good exposure.

I don’t know if you know or others know , I know @bamawriter has some insight as to why these games are scheduled so far in advanced . It seems absurd. The National Title game isn’t even scheduled 5 years out.

Going to Boulder seems like it would be a great trip. I always thought their stadium looked pretty cool too.

And marijuana is legal in Colorado, which will make their stadium look even cooler.

First true OOC road game since '91. Impressive

Impressive is having two in-state rivals with a combined eight national titles. UF doesn’t have to travel far to find quality OOC competition. You guys have Vandy MTSU and Memphis.

After this upcoming season, we will have played Miami five times in the past 17 regular season (in addition to a couple bowl games in ‘01 and ‘04), and we play FSU every year.

Adding Colorado sounds about right. Adding anyone from the Big 12 not named Texas will be a letdown.

i know no one thinks of them, but Vandy is in the SEC. so we are forced to play them

Substitute MTSU for Vandy then. My point still stands.

UT has to travel to find quality OOC competition. UF doesn’t.
Miami is 300 miles away. That's a good bit of traveling. OSU is closer to UT than UF is to Miami. Auburn and UGA, are closer in the SEC.

Straight line distance, not considering travel.

True, but UF’s schedule critics love to point out how we never leave the state to play OOC games, as if that’s some sort of requirement to field a competitive schedule.

It snowed this week during the graduation commencement in Boulder. That’s insane. It would be hilarious to see the Gators play in early Fall snowstorm in Boulder.

I’d love to see Butch’s game week press conference if we played in Boulder. Something about only have 12 guys who have ever been 2,000 ft above sea level.
