Crikes!! I've been looking all over Google trying to find some sort of rational explanation for that shirt and I can't!!! If its not a gag of some sort, its pretty embarrasing. The croc/alligator thing I didn't think was all that big a deal. But this just makes us look like eejits.

I don't think it "makes" you look like one. I think it PROVES your one! :dance2:

Sorry about the pic if it offends anyone. The shirt pic was posted on warchant and so the person hosting the original shirt pic switched it out for the "new" one.

I just hope Hat doesn't get hold of this thread. It actually gives some credence to his belief UM is far superior to UF when it comes to intellect.:)

UF Distributes Thousands Of T-shirts With Wrong Roman Numerals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Thousands of Gator T-shirts are going back in the box because of a mix up.

Roman numerals meant to denote the year "2006" on the University of Florida shirts actually translate into "26."

Pepsi paid for the shirts. It has an exclusive contract with the school.

According to UF's athletic association, neither Pepsi nor the school discovered the error before distribution. But those handing out the free shirts and the students who got them noticed.

Over 20,000 shirts were printed, and those that have not been distributed to students will be returned to Pepsi.

A Pepsi spokeswoman said it's not clear what they will do with the shirts that are returned, but that they apologize for the error.

Pepsi will pay for another set of shirts to be distributed in late September before the Alabama game.

This isn't a first for the University Athletic Association. In 2003, it published media guides that featured a crocodile on the front cover instead of an alligator -- the school's mascot.

I propose giving them away to rival SEC schools. I'd take one to show off to Gator fans.

How many people missed that little mistake prior to printing. They need to just stick to the basics. Those Roman numerals can be complicated.:) (for first graders).
