I'm just curious how all these transfers Jaws is talking about count against their recruiting numbers. Taking transfers and kids not qualifying has to eat up space toward the 25. You don't just get to swap them out.

This is a point he obviously doesn't understand. They can only do this so much. Mullen is ahead of the game though 😂.

Not even mentioning the fact that recruiting is about more than just grabbing a bunch of random dudes Bc they have stars. You want certain types of players to fit your system. Just taking anyone you can get to fill roster space is crazy.

That’s some Butch Jones roster management right there lol.

I didn’t say that, but you can’t sit here and tell me this won’t hurt down the line. It might not be this season but you’ll miss that depth and talent.

Sticking your head in the sand and saying there isn’t a problem is a piss poor way to react.

If Tennessee had lost this many recruits from one class, I’d be pretty darn concerned.

I'd like to know how that works, too.

If a school signs a full class of 25, and 5 of those signees never play, does the school ever get those scholarships back?

If that school then brings in 5 players from the portal, don't all of those 5 players count against next year's 25 (except for grad transfers)?

Yes, technically all you get back is the counting against the 85 part. They transfers count against the 25.

That's how I thought it worked. Why do I get the feeling that right about now, someone in Florida is saying, "Wait, there are rules about this?" I'm not sure how well they understand compliance.

I don’t recall sitting here and telling you this won’t hurt down the line.

Reacting like Chicken Little and spouting hot takes, in this age of the transfer portal, is also a piss poor way to react.

Am I concerned? Nope. This isn’t life or death, it’s only college football.
