I'm curious to know if any team has beaten these 3 teams in the same season, outside of the Vols this year?

This seems almost impossible. Don't recall Auburn or Georgia playing all 3 and winning in the same season. I know Georgia doesn't get LSU every year and Auburn doesn't get UF every year.

Terry won with Pat Dye's players;)
What!? You mean Terry Bowden wasn’t the greatest coach of all time? Say it ain’t so!

Of course Auburn ran the table in 2010 too but, again, no Florida. Auburn is the luckiest team of all time. 2 undefeated years with crap coaches? Plus they constantly have games where they get the benefit of some horrible call or completely lucky play to win, like Missouri this year, Arkansas game either last year or the year before where Auburn fumbled but the refs said it wasn’t, the Bama game a couple years ago and more. Big calls that are wrong and lucky plays always seem to go their way. I think they sold their souls.

I remember there was a photo back in the 1990s floating around online of Terry Bowden sitting at a table with Auburn Coeds and he was so drunk he was almost passed out.

So not as uncommon as I thought. Just seems incredibly hard to achieve
You have three of the best schools in that list, removing some of your best options for teams most likely to win out. Because you cant beat yourself.

Would be interesting to look at that list but have UT as the replacement for one of those teams to see if they did something similar as well.

Terry Bowden almost hit me with his Lexus in 96. I was on my bike and he blew his horn at me and came to a screeching halt.

I was actually at a 4 way stop that I guess he was planning to run.

The following teams have beaten Alabama, Florida, and LSU in a single season, in the following years:

Auburn:
  • 1989
  • 1993
  • 2006

Georgia:
  • 1948

Mississippi State:
  • 1940
  • 1957
  • (Worth mention: 1941 - they went 2-0-1)

Tennessee:
  • 1940
  • 1952
  • 2001
  • 2022
  • (Worth mention: 1944 and 1953 - those teams went 2-0-1)

Well, they were undefeated in 2004 as well but didn’t play Florida. I know they played Florida in ‘93 as that was a great game. Terry Bowden taking down the Ole Ball Coach!

The ‘94 game in the Swamp was a classic - TD pass by Patrick Nix (Bo’s dad) with 32 seconds left to beat Wuerffel and the Gators on their home turf.
