It sure looks a lot like when Cutt left us and we have great D's and crap O's. Gotta wonder how long Muschamp gets to stay.

Short of a complete meltdown I don't see UF doing anything with him this year. It helps that UGA is going the wrong way, and Mizzou lost their best chance to win the east with Franklin going down. I see the east coming down to the UF/USC game. If he stays in contention for the east this year he has nothing to worry about. I would imagine the heat will increase next year. He's gonna need a better offense to win the east and SEC.

This. They very well could win the East, so I can't see anything getting him on the hot seat unless they lose out or something bad comes out about it.

He is a very good DC, now whether that translate to a championship is another story. My thing with him is he is way too tense for every play and every game, you have to allow nature flow to the game. If you are screaming at the refs after every play they just start to ignore you.

A excellent DC, we'll see on HC, but he turned UF around pretty quickly. He needs some help on the offensive side of the ball, there is basically no threat there right now.

He needs to hire a competent OC. Brent Pease lived off of Chris Peterson's offense for all of one year at Boise and then was handed the reins to a top 10 program. There's been one common in the Boise program; Chris Peterson. When they were winnig with Dan Hawkins, Peterson was the OC. He takes over and Bryan Harsin is OC and they keep rolling, while Hawkins falls on his face in Colorado. Harsin leaves for Texas and Pease steps in and they don't miss a beat while Texas offense was atrocious under Harsin. Pease leaves for UF and Boise doesnt drop off much while UF rolls out an offense that rivals that of a Pop Warner team.

Is it not very similar to what happened here though when Cut left the first time? We still had rocking D's and couldn't generate the O to put some games away. I also hate the fact that they could win the east.

Some. He's trying to establish himself as a successful HC (above just a DC) thats about the only difference. He doesn't have a record to fall back on yet.

Given the circumstances, they are squarely in the race for the east given its current state. Their D is just good enough to carry them to Atl if they can pull off a couple more good wins.

If he found an average QB (even someone like Bo Wallace) they'd be a top 5 team.

I think Murphy is better than average but lacks experience and perhaps his coaching isn't the greatest. In my opinion, they were too conservative offensively against LSU. Once they got down 14-3, they should have opened it up more for Murphy. How many catches did Burton have? Did they even take a shot at the endzone?

it's obvious what the problem is. either they improve offensively or he wont be around for too many more years.

Reminds me of Jerry Green. He'll win some games but the fanbase just isn't interested in what he is selling.
