UF player Autograph Restrictions

I just heard from my local Sports Talk Radio host, that the University of Florida will no longer allow fans to bring items to be signed by the players. Ie: helmets, jerseys, ect... Apparently the University has caught on that many items end up on Ebay, thus inorder to restrict what is signed, "posters" will be provided/ put up for sale.

Any thoughts?

You dont think this is tied to the economy? There have been a lot of layoffs at major Universities lately.
