Does this concern anyone? Muschamp must have some serious connections in Texas. Florida will always have a grasp on the talent in the sunshine state. Is this the best of both worlds for Florida?

On a side note...I thought they were going for an offensive coach? Is this going to set their offense back a couple years? Will he have to install a new defense?

I don't see it as that much of an impact. Texas will get their choice first.

Not sure how many connections he really had to make at Texas. As soon as recruiting opens they basically have their entire class set.

Nothing has really changed.....Florida will get recruits no matter what right now.

The big deal will be whether or not Muschamp proves to be a competent HC.

I don't think he has strong ties in Texas, Texas will always get their pick from instate.

Although a good recruiter I'm not sure that M-champ will have that big of a role in Texas. More recruits seem to be attracted to what is (was) Texas than M-champ himself. We'll see.

Texas has a down year now they're (was)? That GED is doing you some good.

I'd be more worried if Randy Shannon goes to Texas. I think he'll be a lot more likely to pull Florida kids to Texas than Muschamp will be able to recruit Texas kids to Florida.

I think Shannon has gotten a bad rap. The administration at Miami set him up to fail. That will definitely be evident if they hire Marc Trestman.
