Why does everyone keep saying that Muschamp has hit the ground running as far as recruiting goes? All I've seen is that Waisome has spurned them for FSU, Shazier has left them for OSU, and Purifoy is supposedly looking around as well. Jernigan released a recent final 3 comprised of FSU, Bama, and LSU. I understand Driskel firmed up his commitment as well as a few others. I've also heard that Story may not be sticking with the Gators. UF isn't a school thats exactly difficult to recruit to and obviously he was going to lose a few guys. It just seems to me that all of this "hitting the ground running" talk is being blown way out of proportion at this point. Now if he lands a Grant or another top level guy then it may be warranted.

I don't blame him or any of these kids when UF doesn't have any coaches in place .....Nick left his OV with more questions than answers about staff. FSU has been recruiting him for two years while UF has had three different guys on tim during that time. Also, don't believe anything from Timmy J...kid dropped UF weeks ago but made a visit to UF this weekend.

Like I said, it happens every time a coaching change occurs. Kids go elsewhere. However, I don't see why everyone is acting like Muschamp is burning up the recruiting trails right now. He's doing the same thing any other coach in his position would do. He's at a pretty good advantage because he doesn't have to concentrate on bowl preparation. He only has to hit the road. Obviously he has a huge disadvantage as well with nothing but questions as far as his assistants, though.

TRUE....Nick was solid before the visit but came away without any answers. Muschasmp could have the best wish list or staff inplace but nothing he said was reassuring to the kid. I'm sorry but I don't know too many names better for DB coaching then Heater or Austin. Get over that "connection: BS and name some position coaches.

UF always had solid DBs under Meyer. Then again, they always brought in top level recruits at those positions as well. Recruiting won't be an issue with Muschamp, but I'm not sure that he will be as successful as Meyer was. Part of that, though, may have to do with FSU's rebirth and Golden breathing some life into Miami again.
