While a brother-vs.-brother showdown at quarterback likely won't work out when Florida plays Tennessee on Sept. 18, the game's story line still hasn't lost its edge.

If anything, it might have even gained some steam.

C.J. Leak, who had been working as the Volunteers' starting quarterback all off-season until he was demoted last week, has been working at safety since the downgrade.

So now, Florida QB Chris Leak might actually be forced to worry about his older brother picking off a pass. Not to mention, C.J. Leak could be called on to blitz the Gators if certain situations arise.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Curtis Leak, the father of the duo. "You better believe [C.J.] is going to blitz him. He's going to get after it. It's going to be a lot of fun to see. Seeing them both on the field at the same time might even be better than having them at quarterback."

Chris, on the other hand, didn't appear as excited about C.J.'s position change. Although he has willingly spoken out about his desire for a quarterback showdown in the past, he wasn't overwhelmed about the latest situation.

"I haven't really had much time to think about it," Chris Leak said. "We encourage each other every day so that's no different. We're competitive people, so we're going to go out there and do our best."

C.J. Leak was the starter entering fall camp, but Coach Phillip Fulmer recently named two true freshmen -- Erik Ainge and Brent Schaeffer - as co-starters.

"Chris doesn't play around when he hears about his brother going through adversity at Tennessee, but he's looking forward to it," the father said. "He knows his brother will come through."

CJ will run the routes well...but he just doesn't have the size for run blocking on the line. Hand him a clip board.

245 as a TE is a load plus going against DE's he will not give up much weight.
