Anyone else ordering???

I am a big Wanderlei Silva fan, so I'm looking forward to it. Other good fights on the card.

The night was a little underwhelming....a couple of one sided stinkers along with Guillard getting slapped around like a small gerbil and attempting to smack talk after the fact. Silva still has the fire but he's past his prime. The fight between him and Liddell was a little too late for what it should have been but it was still a good fight. GSP was all over Hughes like a new suit and took him to the woodshed. He's looking mean and I expect him to take full ownership the title when he meets Serra.

A little surprised the way GSP owned Hughes, especially as much trash Hughes talks about beating Serra to get his belt back. So much for that, the next fight will be GSP vs Serra.

Silva is 31 and Liddell is 37, but Liddell still won, surprising. I watched the special with Silva discussing his training, it was incredible. Silva trains like a madman. Very surprised he lost the way he did. Seems like he should have spent more time developing his strategy vs Liddell.

I think one of Silva's main problems was the difference in rules. I think he was hesitant to jump on him when he slipped a couple of times b/c in his flurry he is used to stomping.

Bottom line, Chuck looked very good and showed he isn't just a power puncher but is very good at landing quality shots w/o opening himself up.

GSP embarrassed Matt Hughes, now would be a good time to retire for MH.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the card.

Guillard continues to talk big, then underperform. the WEC would be a good option for him.

the most disappointing performance was Sokoudjou's. But that fight may have been Machida's coming out party, as he is now absolutely one of the best game-planning fighters in the UFC. Sokoudjou vs. Houston Alexander, anyone?

the HWT fight had no business being on the main card, but Palelea was a big name in PRIDE (starting to wonder more and more how much that actually meant....) so they gave him a shot.

I don't know what else we could have gotten from Chuck/Wandy. I'd like to have seen Silva use his knees and the Thai clinch, to see if Chuck could take it. But I know this from that fight--Rampage has SICK power in his right hand. Wandy hit Chuck numerous times with the exact same shot that Page put Chuck down with, and Chuck took them all.
Speaking of Rampage, did anybody see how genuinely disappointed he was that Wand lost? I think he really wants to avenge the only other (besides Shogun) Real ass-beatings he's received.

GSP or Anderson Silva--the best and most complete fighters on the planet right now. I'd love to see GSP actually try to make the Canadian Olympic team--it'd be a hell of a story.

I feel like I got my money's worth, especially since I got to see it for the first time in Glorious 1080i HD.

I'm not a JSP fan, but I thought it was classy when he refused to wear the belt.
