it's a shame that neither one of these guys is a "Big Personality", or this would be an epic buyrate.

as it is, it's just gonna have to serve as one of the most anticipated fights in MMA history, and has a chance at being an all-time great fight.

Silva is the P4P best on the planet right now. Precision strikes, solid submissions, the whole package. but if there is ONE guy that can beat him....

Dan Henderson is a 2-time Olympian. Took Rampage Jackson to a 5 round decision; Rampage called him the "hardest head I've ever hit. dude got a ROCK head". This is after Rampage put Chuck Liddell away in a minute and change with a punch that was half of what he hit Henderson with.

I am stoked--Henderson is stubborn enough to stand and bang with silva, which I don't think is smart. Silva is good enough on the ground to keep Henderson from taking him down, which is why I think he pulls this out.

Silva by Ref Stoppage in the 3rd.

for some of you guys that are just now getting into MMA and the UFC, WATCH THIS FIGHT!!!! it will be more than worth it.

If I had a dollar for everytime somebody told me that the next UFC was a can't miss fight, only for it to suck 1000 you know whats, I could afford to buy this one and find out. As it stands right now, I'll save my money and do something else.

Thanks for that amazingly eloquent and intelligent insight.

I myself don't purchase EVERY PPV, because I have the ability to research fights and fighters and a knowledge of the sport.

if you could do the sam-----HAHAHAHA, I almost got all of that out with a straight face. Go spend that money on another nascar window sticker. I hear that they've got the #8's on clearance.

This should be a good one, I like Henderson's chances but Spider is the real deal. Just ask Mr. Franklin. The group of guys I watch MMA with doesn't order everyone of them either. But, we are going to get this one. Pretty excited about it to.

With all that said, I say Henderson comes out throwing bombs but Spider gets him in a rear naked choke 2nd round.

I've watched enough to see that it doesn't take 'research' to know that it's overhyped 8 times out of 10.

it may be overhyped, but Boxing is the most overhyped downhill sport on the planet.

I don't see how boxing is overhyped. Unless you are in an area with lots of boxing gyms, and therefore local talent, there isn't much buzz.

ESPN shows fights 1-2 nights a week, Telemundo shows fights at about the same rate, and ESPN never shows highlights unless something the ignorant masses consider exciting happens.

Not trying to start a boxing vs bar brawling argument, as my sport is different, and those fighters among you can see that. I just don't see how boxing can be overhyped when it gets little or no hype.

Personally, i like it without the hype. If i have to argue with one more person who thinks Mike Tyson was a great fighter i'll cut my eardrums out.

I would love to see GSP lose to Serra, unfortunately, I do not see GSP losing once over the next 4 years.

I believe that we'll see soon enough. Silva has fought at 178 before, and GSP has said that he's dying to find a catch weight to make that fight happen.

Let GSP take care of Serra and maybe Jon Fitch or Karo, and if Silva beats Hendo tonight, there'll be nobody else for Silva to fight BUT GSP.

GSP vs. Spider would be a good one!

It starts in a couple of minutes, I'm thinking Silva holds on to his title in a mild upset...

there are lots of good fighters at 170 though, Fitch, Deigo Sanchez, Karo, Hughes, Serra, etc.

yep Silva holds the title. Now who does he fight? Not a lot for him to prove.......

As expected...another outstanding performance from the world's best fighter. Perhaps we'll see Silva v. GSP at a catch weight - but, I still like Spider in that matchup.

I don't think that fight is as much a bad reflection on Hendo as it is a testament to just how unstoppable Spider is right now. Henderson has some good fights left in him, and he's the next best middleweight in UFC right now, imo.

A good, but not great, card last night.

It's funny how quickly some of the top draws in this sport can fall off...a year ago, Diego Sanchez and Arlovski would have headlined a good card, now they're on the undercard and their fights aren't even aired.

By the way, who the hell advised Mark Coleman to step into the octagon with Brock Lesnar? Lesnar is going to punish him...I don't think that fight will make it into the 2nd round.

Jaytrain, you made my point exactly. How much do the ratings go up for golf when Tiger is up by 10 strokes?

How high were the ratings for the Pats-Giants week 17 game?

the NBA since Jordan? anyone? Beuller?

You want to see the best, and you want to either see them perform at their best, or you want to see them get upset.

that card was worth that fight alone, because we are getting to watch the BEST fighters in the world right now in Silva, GSP, BJ Penn, and the 205 division (I'm not ready to put Page in the class of the other 3). with the exception of the Fedor-Couture debacle, the UFC has much of the best talent that there is.

as far as Coleman/Lesnar, I think the same thing. that's the exact same fight you saw with Rich Franklin/Ken Shamrock. he's being used as a big name to help build Lesnar.

170lb class has the best fighters IMO though.

That's Silva's problem, he's already beaten most of the top guys at 185.

At 170 lb, GSP still hasn't fought Paro, Fitch, Sanchez, and still has a rematch with Serra.

the other three may be decent fights, but GSP will absolutely destroy Paro.
