UGA @ Auburn--3:30 pm

Yes. Georgia's window of opportunity for a National Championship closed the day Chaney signed the Vols offer.

If you don't believe that, look at game-by-game # of points UGA has scored this season. It is trending straight downwards.
Wouldn't have anything to do with all your WRs leaving for the NFL now, would it? See how much you adore Chaney NEXT year when you don't have JJ and Callaway in the WR room. UT gonna have a good D next year, sho, but you gonna be ready to run Chaney off the Rock.

Georgia has zero excuses for their offensive issues this season. Having Swift and Fromm alone should be the cornerstones of a very good offense but instead it’s the most predictable, boring offense for a top tier team. That offense is loaded with five star players and upper classmen. UT has developed JJ and Calloway into good players but they weren’t highly recruited. Nearly every player on UGA’s squad was highly recruited, I can’t imagine what that offense would look like with a bunch of 3 star players

Yeah dude, I'm agreein wif ya. Fromm and Swift are the cornerstone...but as everybody knows since the USCe game, the way to stop UGA is load up and stop the run. You can man up on the WRs because they havent yet been able to get separation. That's not just my opinion. KY, UF, UM, and AU all tried it. All went down in defeat. UGA wins the East. Again. Kirby's strategy is to play stifling D, keep the ball a long time, and like a big red and black boa constrictor, strangle the clock. The two highest yardage games 11 has had in the last two seasons were against Bama in the 2018 SECCG and against USCe this year...both losing efforts. It may not be what you think is championship caliber football, but for the third year running, Dawgs are going to ATL. Now go ahead and start with the Kirby is Richt 2.0 blahblahblah.

Yeah, Bucky. You corner blitzed a freshman with the game no longer in doubt. Klassy.

Uga. Trash program, trash fans. Thanks for confirming.
Hey. 5:00 left in the game. TN should have gone into 'we surrender' mode. Nobody gets hurt if you wave the white flag. Your guy was taking shots downfield. Kirby stopped him.

No one surrenders, but trying to drill a freshman with the game in hand? Pure georgia football.

Trash program. Trash fans.

Are you here posting pos videos like like for affirmation? If so, here’s a cookie. Happy??

Look lady, I don't know how you stumbled on to this thread, and if you've been offended by anything you've seen here, please accept my sincere apology. Occasionally the subject matter can be upsetting to those with more delicate sensibilities. I suggest you go find a seat in a quiet room somehere and close your eyes until the bad feelings have subsided, at which time you should be able to resume regular activity.

That’s funny considering that UT has been a complete dumpster fire for nearly 20 years even with regular Top 15 recruiting classes.

Lol. And UGA with top overall classes. Good luck though. Maybe Kirb turned a corner yesterday. And more good news you don't have to go through Bama this year. Perhaps this is the year....

Ok, I am a Vol, but that is a funny response for the dawg!

This is a Tennessee board. If you act like an #$$ and post crap like that, expect blowback, snowflake. Very typical for uga fans, passive aggressive to the nth degree, and in constant need of affirmation that their program is the bestest of all time.

Take a hike, maybe go to an uga board and revel in the echo chamber of the glory of 39 years ago.

Trash programs, trash fans.

That guy always posts way over the top anti-UGA stuff. Haha.

You’ve got issues dude. Might be because you live somewhere that the sun literally doesn’t shine.

If you haven’t realized it yet, Kirby is playing Bama Football circa 2007-2015. Bama was hardly ever impressive either as far as high flying offense goes. I hope he’ll open it up but you act like you’ve never seen this style before when three yards and a cloud of dust was Bama Football until three years ago.

This style of offense works when you can out talent nearly every team you play, which we can.

Naah. uga fans just irritate me. And this is a Tennessee board. I don't post on uga sites, and I sure as hell don't post clips like the one above. When I go to one of your mutual affirmation sites and post the 2016 hail mary, you may have room to talk. Until then, your fanbase is the most arrogant, passive aggressive in college football.

Got it?

But what if our QB play is much better?

That was a great strategy circa 2010. Not even Saban does that anymore. None of these teams in the playoff hunt, except Georgia, do that.

I'll quote the idiot Dan Wolken (because he was right about this one) - he tweeted that if Justin Fields doesn't fit your system, then your system sucks. I think Kirby & Co. considered Fields to be purely or predominantly a running QB, which he most certainly is not. I mean my goodness, Fields has actually only run for 377 yds this year. About 40 a game. His passing efficiency is outstanding. I think Kirby and his staff saw him as a big Johnny Manziel or something.

My understanding on Fields is that he couldn't make his reads fast enough against an SEC defense, and he practiced against one of the top SEC defenses. In the few instances that I saw, if the first read wasn't there, he tucked it. He threw the ball well enough against Austin Peay, MTSU, Umass, and Vandy, so we all knew he had a cannon arm. It seemed like Chaney inserted him in meaningful games just to satisfy his family that he was getting some PT. There certainly didn't seem to be a "plan" for Justin Fields, and Kirby said as much. I think the media wanted to gin up a QB controversy where none existed. It was always Jake Fromm's job. Hey guy, I'm a Justin Fields fan. I hate that he had to transfer to the OSU in order to play this year. But the reality is, a guy like Fields leaves after his 3rd year. He's not there for an education or because he loves Georgia. He is honing his skills to make $million$ year after next. Tough loss for UGA, but good for him.

I think the problem was that Kirby + staff didn't give Fields that impression while he was being recruited. Given how his eventual transfer went down, I bet they told Fields that it was Fromm's job...at the moment, and once he got on campus he'd be given a legitimate shot at it or at least receive significant playing time. Neither occurred, and that was probably Kirby's intention the whole time. Fields thought he'd been deceived, so he left.

Personally, I thought it was always a headscratcher why Fields committed to UGA in the first place. The only explanation that makes sense as to why he went there was that he was promised stuff that didn't materialize.

Relax, friend. Sorry you were offended by my post. It's all in fun. I like hanging out here because I like to talk and read about SEC football. Most the posters are reasonably easy to get along with. Maybe I shouldn't have posted the clip. Forgive me. I was responding to another of your compatriots comments about how Maurer "gashed" UGA's defense. I disagreed. It's your guys's job to stop our defense from smacking your QB, not ours. Anyway, I think Maurer's a good QB. I'm not anti- VOL. I like Pruitt. I hope your team turns it around soon. It's a much better conference when TN, UGA and UF are all good.

Nobody except the Fields family and UGA knows what he was told. I think Fields is a competitor. He was listed as the #1 dual threat QB coming out of highschool. Probably felt like he could win the job. I've coached a little. I've coached players/parents who thought their kid should be the starter. As I've said before, it's almost embarrassing the depth of talent UGA across the field. OL, RB, DL,ILB,OLB,DB....if you're not the starter, you can still get significant PT. But there's only a spot for one QB. When Fields was unable to wrest the starting job from Jake Fromm, he sought greener pastures elsewhere. I liked it when kids stayed for 4 years, but it's how the game works today.

Except for Bama and that pesky championship in 09

So we can agree the reasoning and the allowance by the NCAA to transfer and play right away was complete bull$hit then? He was just pissed that it was Fromm’s job.
