Violation of team rules from back in the Spring. Can't figure out how to post the link. It's on the AJC website. He will miss at least one game.

Wow. They're gonna need to have open try-outs for those empty spots in the depth chart.

Hahahahahahahaha

Is Crowell the only scholarship RB for UGA's first game?

I was wondering the same thing. Per some UGA policy, he must miss at least 10% of UGA's season. It could end up being more than one game, I suppose.

College kids. Nothing serious but has to deal with the consequences of his decisions. I kind of like the punishment to tell you the truth. We need to send a clear message to all of the players. By the way, Samuel will probably be the starter. Crowell will be the backup, Carlton is a change of pace kind of back and probably would not be the starter.

That's turrible. A guy that doesn't even remember his assignments will start at RB for yall

So you have a converted RB to LB back to RB as a starter and a true freshman backing him up?

Yes sir. Samuel did start a few games for us at RB. Sounds crazy but makes the most sense to me. We need somebody who can run effectively, but more importantly pass protect as well. Samuel is a very smart kid and he is our best option IMO to open the season for us. Crowell will eventually take over, I just do not think its wise to do it from day 1.

He must have effed up something major to get suspended with their RB situation.

1 game suspensions can turn into more...and it just shows the continued turmoil in Athens.

Better start 2-0 or things will get ugly down there.

I promise.

This offseason has been much better for us. Our boys have behaved for the most part. I am just glad that we hand down tough punishments on our boys. Carlton has never been in trouble before and our staff gave him the toughest punishment available. That alone sends a good and clear message to our boys. The first two games are very important, nobody can deny that.

Anybody else concerned about how this will effect our recruiting class?

I won't lie...it's got me a litte worried.

You'd be kidding yourself if you didn't think recruits would look at this suspension and say "wow, the SEC is way too strict, I'll just go play in the Big 12 instead."

By the way, Samuel will probably be the starter. Crowell will be the backup, Carlton is a catching screens and dump offs kind of back and definitely would not be the starter.

If I see Thomas take another run up the middle I think Im gonna throw up. I dont think Samuel starts the season; more likely Malcome or Crowell. Pass blocking stuff is getting a little overblown
